so erin and i went abroad with my cousin steven to Paris.

last year, erin and i went to new york city as a christmas present, this year.. it was paris.

so bon jour!

im not going to lie, some of these pictures could be professional. haha.

this was the view from our apartment (we decided to rent an apartment, since we were there for a week and it was the three of us... it was a great idea. we loved it and we were able to feel more like parisens.)

this guy literally makes the best crepes in the whole city. i dragged them here a few times...

inside the shakespeare and company bookstore. i sat this one out in a chair in the corner.

we litereally spent 5 days wandering about the city; eating, shopping (but not too much), walking forever. it was fantastic.

we also spent one day in brussels, belgium where we met up with steven's cousin who lives there

and another day in epernay (the champagne region in france and about 2 hours train ride from paris)

that is champagne. that number one the bottom is how many bottles are in that small section of the cave.

the best champagne is only for special people... we were not them.

And finally, on the train ride to the airport, this was a perfect ending.

well, i have approximately 500 pictures from my latest "mcandrew's take on europe" adventure. i still have to upload and sort them all, so you will have to bare with me. but... you can use these as a warm up

the blizzard of 2010

where to begin...

snowed in (check)

powerlines on our driveway (check)

half of trees on our roof and driveway, not to mention yard (check)

no water (check)

having my boss pick me up for work and my toddler families taking me home from work (check)

let me just begin with the snow warning...

then me on the way to seven springs ski resort in somerset, pa on friday morning.

my friend wanted to park next to my driveway, instead of a parking lot at the closest shopping

center which is what i suggested.

well, lets go back to friday, we got our skis and our lift tickets and began our skiing weekend. friday afternoon was perfect for skiing, but once the storm began, we knew, so we headed to the foggy goggle.

after the foggy goggle, we attempted to hit the slopes a few more times, but for not being so great at skiing with fresh powder, josh and i failed. the sun set and we headed to our hotel.

once we checked-in we settled, got something to eat, then headed to "mel's tavern"...

we ended up heading to bed at 9pm. no joke.

saturday... we woke up...

needless to say, we stayed in somerset the whole day, no skiing, with country roads and the turnpike closed, making it literally impossible to go anywhere in the car. so... we had screwdrivers.. all day...

it looks like an alien... yuck...

because of the turnpike closing, there were hundreds of trucks everywhere.

by the end of saturday night, we were exhausted. we once again headed to bed at 900. no joke.

sunday morning, we were free. josh and i had to return our skis and wondered if phil would have been worried if it took us 4 hours to do so... the mountain looked amazing.

meanwhile... back at home...
