i am finally finishing my illness at just the right time. while last week i contracted an ear infection, which then turned into a viral infection in my throat. i was continuing going to work and taking about 7 motrins a day, along with amoxicillin.

who knew i was allergic to amoxicillin?

anyways, it didnt stop me from celebrating love and life with some great friends and family.

then sunday, was maman's bridal shower, hosted by the mellott girls (and alan). a very intimate but very nice gathering. PS. i did wear the same coat both occasions, it hid my rash nicely.

last weekend (before i got sick) erin, doug and i took a spur of the moment trip to disneyworld to meet up with dad, jordan, jordans friend mackenzie, maddie, jacky, rob, aunt lynn, uncle dave, and tiana. (dad's gf kim was there with jared (her son), macy and bo (her neice and nephew) and her sister in law.) it was a pretty large group of us. but it was a lot of fun, there were a few times were we weren't all together, off doing different things, but it was just really nice to be with everyone in the happiest place in the world. it was also nice to be in the sun.

we arrived early saturday morning, picked up by aunt lynn, uncle dave and t and headed straight for magic kingdom. i can't believe how much t has grown up and how smart she is!

ps. it was dougs first visit to disneyworld. i think he really loved it.

on the second day (sunday) we headed to animal kingdom to spend most of our day. we werent overwhelmed there since we had to leave early. we got pretty much everything in that we needed to, including a few beers. erin wanted to head to epcot, but i think animal kingdom was a good choice, because we got some rides and a safari, who doesnt love a safari with a flambouant tour guide named "Preston"?
