free fallin'

Well, I'm alive. I have never experienced anything so outrageous in my life.

We left for Indiana Friday night and arrived late. We woke up saturday morning ready to fall. It was a little over cast so we ended up waiting about 3 hours before we even got harnessed up. Our group was so big that we had to be divided into two planes. Kayla's friends and her friend's family were on one plane. Kayla's friend's dad, Kayla's sister Juli, Kayla and myself were on the second plane. The first plane was able to successfully jump with no problems. As we harnessed up, I actually wasn't nervous AT ALL. I was more excited. Then the first plane landed and we hopped on board. I was in the front, still not too nervous. As we reached altitude, we became harnessed to our tandems and they opened the door...
Then they closed the door and landed the plane.
It was too cloudy. We waited a little longer with our harnesses on and 2 hours and a nap on the landing zone later, we were in the registration office receiving our rainchecks.
We rescheduled for 830 the next morning.
Seeing how high I can jump, without anything attached.
Hanging out.

Nerd.

Sunday:

Hello, Indiana.

We woke up Sunday. I still wasn't nervous. More excited to finally be completing the mission.
We got there at 830 and with no hesitation got harnessed once again. The clouds were spotty but we thought nothing of it. I had a different tandem the second time, I liked him better, he was more relaxed and fun than my first old guy. First it was Kayla's friends dad who jumped, then Kayla, then a stranger, then myself. It all happened so fast. I truthfully wasn't scared until we were falling out of the plane. I can't even begin to describe the adreneline and anxiety of free falling out of the plane. It was so intense, I actually think I blacked out for a second, maybe not even a second, but it was indescribable. I have no idea how long it lasted, but it was some of the greatest few seconds/minutes of my life.

Everyone asks, would you do it again; I would, definitely.
